Acceso a agua

Ensuring access to drinking water for communities that need it most through the implementation of innovative infrastructure. Additionally, we strengthen community water associations (ASADAS), promoting sustainable water resource management at the community level.

Project

Vigilantes del Agua

Thanks to a partnership with the Coca-Cola Foundation and Acueductos y Alcantarillados (AyA), this program promotes reduced water consumption in public schools and raises students’ awareness of the importance of efficient water use. “Water Watchers” has saved over 7 million liters of water in 12 years.

Project

Strengthening Community Water Systems

We support ASADAS in developing technical, administrative, and financial capacities to ensure the sustainability of community drinking water services. The project includes leadership training, infrastructure improvements, and the design of management models tailored to the reality of each community.

Project

Access to Water in Communities

In partnership with local stakeholders, we promote sustainable water resource management systems, strengthen technical capacities, and provide training in water resource protection, aqueduct operation management, and climate change adaptation. We promote citizen participation to build local partnerships and joint projects within communities.

Climate Change Adaptation

We support vulnerable communities in designing and implementing climate change adaptation measures. We work with water operators to implement water collection, storage, and distribution systems, as well as energy efficiency improvements using solar panels.

EcoMovil

Project

EcoMóvil

Sponsored by Sistema Coca-Cola, Nestlé, Dos Pinos, and Auto Mercado, this project aims to provide an alternative for the collection and traceability of recyclable solid waste through an “EcoMóvil” vehicle that visits different locations throughout the city so that people can drop off PET, PP, HDPE, Tetra Pak, paper and cardboard, aluminum, glass, and laminated plastics.

Reciclaje Inclusivo

An initiative supported by Sistema Coca-Cola that puts waste pickers at the center: strengthening the recycling value chain with inclusion and dignity.
Costa Rica Recupera

Project

Costa Rica Recupera

In partnership with the Sistema Coca-Cola, HEINEKEN Costa Rica and Dos Pinos, this collaboration aims to boost the recovery of PET and HDPE plastics in the country and seek to recover 80% of the plastics placed on the market by these companies. The coordinated efforts of these companies have resulted in the recovery of 20,316 tons since the initiative began in 2024.
The Ocean Clean Up

Project

The Ocean Cleanup – Las Vacas River

An initiative to drastically reduce waste ending up in the ocean by removing material from one of the world’s most polluted rivers in collaboration with The Ocean Cleanup, Sistema Coca-Cola, and Dollar City.
